The Pretty Side Of Vegas

When boyfriend's mom came to visit I decided to show her a side of Vegas she has never seen before.... the pretty side! Red Rock Canyon is a part of town that is so excluded you don't even feel like you are in a big city. It's a place where you can go hiking, hear birds chirping AND even see stars at night. And when you are ready to go back to the busy city life, the LV strip is just 15-20 minutes away. We had such a fun afternoon exploring Red Rock Canyon:

See, there is life outside of the casinos! ;-)

I Said Brrr....It's Cold In Here

One of the reasons I love my friend Meredith is because she is ALWAYS down for the craziest adventures. At the beginning of the year I put together a bucket list called the Vegas Funbucket Fiasco. On it are a bunch of things in and around Vegas that I have yet to do. Some are touristy and some are hidden gems. One of the items on the list was Minus5 Ice Bar. Everything in this bar is made out of ice including the tables, chairs, glasses, statues. The temperature is set at a frigid -5 degrees so you have to wear these heavy fur coats and gloves. We had SO much fun!

We also learned that we look really good in fur coats and are destined to be rich ladies that wear them everyday. ;-)

There's A Place Off Ocean Avenue

A couple weeks ago I got to visit one of my absolute favorite places....the beach!
It was only for a few short hours but it was just what I needed.
The weather couldn't have been more perfect.

And like always, I left my heart there.

Pinspiration- Tutus!

Join the link up here

It's round two of Saw It, Pinned It, Did It and I'm SO excited because this week I actually have a Pinterest project that was successful!
My friends and I are running a 5k in the middle of November and decided that dressing up was a must! Of course we chose tutus.
Here is the Pinspiration:

Find the pin by going here.

Here is the beginning of the project:

And the finished product:

The best part about this project? No sewing necessary! All you need is elastic, tule (colors of your choice) and scissors. And it only took about 20 minutes total.

Pinterest projects are WAY more fun when they actually look like the original pin!
